Justice & Service

Ridgetop Elementary

Literacy Partners will be paired with one or two Ridgetop Elementary students and will read with each student weekly to help them begin reading on grade level. The commitment is for one hour, one day a week, during the school year.

Helping Hands Home

Volunteers serve the foster children at Helping Hand Home weekly for about an hour. Volunteer opportunities range from helping children with homework, playing games, and helping with bedtime routines.

Refugees

We’re serving with two refugee ministries this year, World Relief and Refugee Sewing Collective. They pair churches with specific refugee families to help them transition to their new lives in Austin. We serve these families in many different ways, such as delivering groceries, giving rides to appointments, collecting apartment furnishings, teaching English, finding employment, and being friends.

Safe Families

We’re serving with a new ministry called Safe Families. They pair volunteers with families in crisis in order to bring support to children and parents. Volunteers have the opportunity to serve by hosting children in their home for a short period time, or by offering support and counsel for the parents during their time of need.
