Alex was born and raised in Houston where he met his future wife, Leanne, in high school Chemistry class. After graduating from West Point, Alex served as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army before moving to Austin in 2014. Alex and Leanne discovered Midtown when the church was still meeting at Bryker Woods Elementary and joined as partners in 2015. They live in Northwest Hills with their 3 kids (Jane, Kate, and Thomas). Alex currently works for Apple and enjoys riding bikes with the girls, hunting, and the outdoors.
