Pete and Karen Craycroft have been involved in Midtown's heritage since joining Hill Country Bible Church Austin in early 1993. They served in the youth ministry there in the mid1990s, and Pete served as an elder from 1997-2000. In 2005 the Craycrofts were members of the original church planting team for HCBC-UT. In 2013 the UT church moved to the Baker Center and took on the name Hill Country Bible Church Central, which merged with Midtown in 2015 to form the current Midtown Church. Pete has served two additional terms as an elder, first at HCBC-UT, and the current one with Central/Midtown. Karen is a recently retired elementary special education teacher, and Pete is a career educator, having spent 19 years in public high schools in San Antonio and Austin, and the last 18 years in various capacities at Hill Country Christian School of Austin. He has coached high school baseball his entire career. Pete and Karen have three adult children: Katie, Greg, and Brenna, as well as four grandchildren.
